‘Bridges’ is the latest single and video from Oxford-based band The Mezz. It’s a pummelling slice of indie rock that centres its swaggering bass lines and passionate vocals around a groovy, energetic drum pattern, courtesy of their drummer Charlie, who is (thankfully) now a year free of bowel cancer! On the video that accompanies the track, lead singer Ben Comley says: “In this video I wanted to capture the feeling of being isolated by the demands of social media presence. You can see as I become more free the further from civilization I get, not being able to release my true self until I am on that stage.” They’re playing at London’s Camden Assembly on February 15th, 2023. -Dan Peeke
